Bladex celebrates 30 years of listing on the NYSE

NYSE

Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior (“Bladex” or the “Bank”) rang the traditional bell at the New York Stock Exchange, during the celebration of its 30th anniversary of listing on the NYSE.

In 1992, Bladex became the first Latin American bank to be listed on the NYSE (BLX) and to obtain an Investment Grade rating, a milestone it celebrated with its directors and executives by ringing the opening bell of the day.

Thanks to more than 40 years of experience and its extensive expertise in Latin America, Bladex maintains a deep understanding of the Region's risks and opportunities, making it an industry benchmark.

Bladex was founded in 1978 by 23 Central Banks from Latin American and the Caribbean, with the participation of other financial institutions and the IFC to promote trade and regional integration. It is a multinational bank focused on the Latin American market to serve the capitalization needs of other financial institutions in the region, as well as to provide financing to large and medium-sized corporations to support their business operations.

The Bank, headquartered in Panama, also has offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States of America, servicing its customer base, which includes banking and financial institutions and corporations.
